We are committed to maintaining transparency with our clients while meeting all of our regulatory obligations.
Following a recent audit by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), we identified a number of procedural and administrative shortcomings within certain departments of the firm relating to compliance with the Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations 2017, the SRA Principles, and the SRA Code of Conduct for Firms. We have acknowledged these failings and accepted the findings of the SRA. As a result, the firm has been fined, and the SRA will publish details of its findings shortly.
We would like to reassure our clients, lenders, and professional contacts that these issues did not involve client matters, client funds, or client transactions. The findings relate solely to administrative and compliance processes within the firm.
Since the audit, we have taken comprehensive steps to strengthen our procedures and ensure full compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements. We remain committed to maintaining the highest professional standards and to continuous improvement in our compliance framework.
